David over the years has truly become Mr Spinone!
He joined the motley crew of Spinoni along with Irene his partner, he started out jointly showing “Danny” Irh Sh Ch. Sh Ch Cobbets Rock n Roll Party with Bessalone but not long after that David was “asked” if he would like to choose his own Spinone to show in the Bessalone team. Thus “Renzo” came into our family, he brought with him so much love that we all adored him. David and “Ren” stormed the showing world as a dream team! He achieved things with David we could only have dreamed of.

However sadly we lost our “Little Ren Ren” to cancer at a very young age.

This tragic loss took us several years to even consider another Spinone. However again David was asked if he would like his own Spinone to show, David took his time and decided to take a playful and loveable pup from a Danny litter. We named that pup Jack (Of course that meant we had basically Jack  Daniels)….. And without a doubt dream team was born! The pair have a understanding that surpasses any that I have in all my years of owning/Showing dog have seen. The two have won amazing things and they do it all with grace, style and class. Jack can be seen at shows “acting up”  so to get to David he adores him that much and in return David often and lovingly refers to Jack as “his boy Jack” or “his Jack” whenever his happens we all have a sneaky look at each other and smile.

Jack and David have so far won two Challenge Certificates both with Best of Breeds! The first was under Mrs P Hollings and the second was Mr K Young.

More recently David has undertaken the task of showing our youngest Spinone Sid! The pair also have a special understanding as Sid can often be seen “smiling” and “chatting” to David. They have so far been placed in the top half of Sid’s puppy classes with Firsts, Seconds and a third. Sid and David have also been in the Puppy Stakes classes achieving Seconds and Thirds also!

Sid is now the breeds youngest show champion!!!!! He has also earned his Irish Show championship title, his Show Champion of Merit, his Junior Warrant and his Celtic Winners 16 title! All guided by the one and only Mr Spinone himself David Shields. However Sid didn’t stop there he has also won puppy gundog groups, been placed in Adult gundog groups and even won BEST IN SHOW in Ireland!!!!!!
